Is anyone else on here a Certified Identity Theft Risk Management
Specialist? If you are, rather than posting a response here, it would
be better to just contact me directly. Would like to "compare notes"
with you..

Certified by who? Captain Crunch? And what kind of notes are
you trying to compare? How to scam more from people who have
already suffered greatly due to this problem? Sounds like SPAM
to me.

By the Institute of Fraud Risk Management, of course.
http://tifrm.com/courses.html goes on to state that multiple
organizations offer continuing education credits for this certification,
the CFP board among them. My Spidey senses had the same reaction yours
did, the post still struck me as spam.

Ironically, at least some of the links at tifrm.com have an invalid SSL
certificate, it expired on May 31 2007! (Try the "newsletter" section).
A quick check of the (very short) Google profile of the OP shows some
spam-like posts in misc.legal. The self-policing nature of this group
seems to be working well.
It's not that the topic isn't appropriate for m.i.f-p, but the group
should be used for specific questions and replies, not business
self-promotion. In a quick check of the m.i.f-p. FAQ, I found no info
on the topics of "fraud" or "identify theft", so this (the Inst. of
Fraud Risk Mgmt) might make a good addition to the FAQ.
